Holy Chilblains, Batman!

When I got up this morning, the temperature -- not outside, which would've qualified in Hawaii as totally outrageous right there -- but inside -- was ...

...wait for it...

fifty-six degrees. Or 13.3333333 Celsius.

And that was in the main part of the house, which usually seems much warmer (or in summer, cooler) than the bedrooms. For the sake of the kids, I finally had to cave in and turn on the damn furnace (which smells musty and gross and the house has instantly gone from clear-chilly-winter-briskness to stinky-dusty-funk).

Then again, if I hadn't known the exact temperature, I might not have thought it was that cold ... you know, like when you injure yourself, but don't notice, and it isn't until you see blood that it starts hurting.

Umm, that's a bit chilly for inside I agree but I do know people who set their thermostat one degree lower ;)

I think it looks so cold outside and am surprised it's in the 60s. I've wasted so many days staying in when I could be out because it looks like winter out there, it just doesn't feel like it.

brrr not.

Oooh. For in the house, that's cold. Colder than ours, but we did put on more insulation this year.

Change your furnace filters!

Love your icon ;-) We don't yet have snow - but it is FREEZING here. I went walking with a friend this 'am and my nostril hairs froze - lol. TMI! I think we keep our heat set fairly low, compared to most - 65/63 - except first thing in the morning it's at 67 to warm the house before the sun is up. We need to add insulation in the attic at some point. Anyway - that IS chilly for your part of the country.

Good to see you writing again!!!!

I know the feeling ... although I've been away from tropical weather for 2 years now. Still not used to it though!

Yesterday it was below 30 degrees F in the hill country, but 60 in Boston. Can't wait for the weather to right itself per the geography! South Texas is in shock from the cold!

That is cold for inside! Brrrrrr. We have had 60-70 degree weather but now it is sadly turning more like the northeast winter it should be. Hey where is Cali are you again?
